Function documentation Volume and Trade Spend Planning in Mobile Sales Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You perform volume and trade spend planning mainly within the context of a trade promotion, but you can also use it for campaigns when planning the quantity of sampled products, such as free goods.

Trade spend and volume planning allows you to:

·        Plan the trade spends maintained for a trade promotion

·        View the list price of the campaign-related products

·        Apply the buying pattern defined for the planning customer to the trade spend key figures

·        Generate pricing conditions and free goods conditions based on the planned trade spends while loading the planning data to the CRM server

·        Carry out key figure planning based on the baseline volume calculated from the APO system

Integration

In Mobile Sales, you can synchronize the following data with the BW-BPS system for trade spend and volume planning:

·        Dates

·        Products

·        Planning customer

·        Listed prices

·        Sales organization

·        Currency

·        Trade spends

 

Prerequisites

You have set up the mobile client for offline planning. For more information, see Planning in Mobile Sales for Campaigns and Trade Promotions.

You have assigned basic data to the trade promotion, including the planning customer, sales organization, start and end dates for the promotion, and a currency. If you plan to generate conditions for the trade promotion, you must have assigned a promotion type.

You have assigned a planning profile group to the campaign or trade promotion that includes the relevant layouts for trade spend and volume planning. See Basic Data in Campaigns or Structure linkBasic Data in Trade Promotions.

Note

If the planning profile group you have assigned is valid for trade spend and volume planning, the Marketing/Volumes/Trade Spends Planning tile set will appear in the navigation bar.

You have assigned products to your trade promotion. For more information see Structure linkAssigning Products.

Activities

In the Marketing/Trade Spends tile set, you maintain information related to the trade spend, including whether the trade spend is a variable or fixed amount and the dates for which the trade spend is valid. For more information, see Structure linkTrade Spends/Volumes.

Note

Although you can do trade spend and volume planning for a campaign, you cannot maintain trade spend data for a campaign.

In the Marketing/Volumes/Trade Spend Planning tile set, you maintain planning figures related to the costs of running the trade promotion.

Note

These planning values are integrated with the data displayed in the Account Planning/Promotion Details tile set so that you can manage the costs of the trade promotion in relation to the sales targets for a planning customer. When you have finished with the planning, you save your entries. The next time you synchronize your data with the server, the system will upload the planning figures to BW-BPS.
