Product Assignment and their Default
Values
Use
You
can assign the following types of products to templates during template
creation:

Products
-
Product categories
-
Product hierarchies
-
Partner/product ranges
These
then appear as product proposals in the activity journal during activity
processing.
You
can also specify default values for all of the above.
Specifics of CRM Mobile
You
can also display trade promotion products and campaign products in activity
journals. You can this both during template creation and during activity
processing.

Prerequisites
Specifics of CRM Enterprise
To
work with default values for products, proceed as follows:

Select the required fields
during template type creation. These fields are then automatically copied to
the template, and are displayed on the Attributes and Products tab pages.

During template creation,
select a product, product category or product hierarchy on the Products tab page.

Maintain the default values
for the required product, product category or product hierarchy under the Products tab page.

Release the
template.
Specifics of CRM Mobile
To
work with default values for products, proceed as follows:

Select the required fields
during template type creation, as above.

During template creation,
select a product, product category or product hierarchy under the Template Default Values tile set.

Maintain the default values
for the required product, product category or product hierarchy under the Template Default Values tile
set.
You
specify default values for PPRs directly under the PPR application. For more
information, see the “Prerequisites” section under Partner/Product Ranges
and their Default Values.
Display of products in activity
journal
Once
you have assigned any types of products to a template, you can specify whether or
not you want all assigned products to appear as product proposals every time
you maintain the corresponding activity journals.
Specifics of CRM Enterprise

To display all product
proposals in activity journals, the system administrator selects the Display all Product Proposals in Activity
Journal(s) flag in the implementation guide, under CRM -> Transactions -> Settings for
Activities -> Display all Product all Product Proposals in Activity
Journal(s).

If this flag is not set in
the above Customizing activity, the system assumes you do not want to display
all product proposals in activity journals. However, sales representatives can
change this during activity processing by selecting the Load Data button under the Activity Journals tab page.
The Load Data button is only active if the Display all Product Proposals in Activity
Journals flag has not been selected. If the flag has been selected, the Load Data button is no longer required
and therefore not active.
Specifics of CRM Mobile
- To display all product
proposals in activity journals, the system administrator selects the
application parameter ACTTEMSHOWASSIGNED in Mobile System
Maintenance.

If this parameter is not
selected, the system assumes you do not want to display all product proposals
in activity journals. However, sales representatives can change this during
activity journal execution by selecting the Load Data button.
Features
You can also select
product categories and product hierarchies for explosion. This means that all
products belonging to the specified category or hierarchy are displayed during
activity journal execution. If you do not choose this function, only the
specified categories and hierarchies will be displayed in the activity
journal, and not all assigned products.
