Function documentation Predefined Path Variables Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You use predefined path variables to enable you to easily specify paths that are most commonly used in the file system. The Mobile Upgrade Console allows you to use predefined path variables when:

- Indicating properties of an Upgrade Unit (Root Paths tab)

- Including the Run and Copy commands in the Upgrade Editor (Commands tab)

Features

The following predefined path variables are available:

...

·        Mobile Application Root Folder - The root folder of the Mobile application installation. For example, "C:\Program Files\SAP\mobile".

·        Temp Folder - The folder represented by the TEMP environment variable. For example, "C:\Documents and Settings\userA\Local Settings\Temp".

·        Windows Folder - The folder represented by the WINDIR environment variable. For example, "C:\Windows".

·        Program Files FolderThe Program Files directory. For example, "C:\Program Files".

·        IPC Root Folder - The root location of the IPC installation. For example, "C:\Program Files\IPC".

Example

If the Mobile application is installed on C drive on some laptops and D drive on other laptops, the variable Mobile Application Root Folder will be mapped to the correct drive and path, on each laptop. Therefore, it is recommended that predefined variables are used instead of hard-coding paths like "C:\Program Files\SAP\Mobile".
