Enabling
Traces
You need to enable traces if an error occurs:
· When you trigger data exchange between the mobile client and the CRM server
· When the application user saves data in the user database through the mobile client application
In such a case, the SAP support team requests the application user to reproduce the error and send the Microsoft SQL Profiler trace and traces of related components (such as BDoc layer and transfer service). The support team then identifies the cause of the error from the trace files.
At present, to create these trace files, the customer must create and enable certain registry entries by referring to OSS notes, which is a time consuming process. In addition, the customer must revert the registry to its original state because switching on the traces has a severe impact on performance.
However, you can use this procedure to enable the required trace options to reproduce the error without manually changing the registry settings.
You must have read and write access to the registry.
