Sorting Campaigns or Trade
Promotions
This function supports the determination of multiple campaigns or trade promotions.
See section 'Prerequisites’ in Assignment of Multiple Campaigns or Trade Promotions
When using this function, consider your system landscape, and set the relevant value in the Multiple Promotions column in the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) at Customer Relationship Management ® Basic Functions ® Campaign Determination ® Assign Determination Procedure. Depending on the systems you use, the following values are available for selection here:
● A – Compatible with ERP (sorting by access sequence)
Assignment of multiple campaigns or trade promotions is supported. You use this value in a CRM Enterprise or SAP ECC scenario, that is, without Mobile Sales. Manually assigned and automatically found campaigns or trade promotions are sorted by access sequence, and therefore are only compatible with SAP ECC.
● B – Compatible with ERP and MSA (simple sorting)
Assignment of multiple campaigns or trade promotions is supported. Manually assigned and automatically found campaigns or trade promotions use simple sorting that is compatible with both SAP ECC and Mobile Sales. A simple sorting is necessary because determination is not based on condition technique in Mobile Sales.
● Not active
For the value Not Active, the function is not supported.
You can assign a priority to the campaign or trade promotion. This priority is taken into account when sorting takes place, and is used to determine the main marketing object if multiple campaigns are found automatically. A manually assigned campaign is always the main marketing project even if additional campaigns are found automatically.
Since determination of campaigns or trade promotions is not based on condition technique in Mobile Sales, and the sorting in all systems used, for example in SAP ECC, SAP CRM Enterprise, and Mobile Sales must be the same, the system provides simple sorting.
You have to use this kind of sorting if you also use Mobile Sales in your company.
The campaigns are sorted according to the following criteria, and transferred to pricing in the sequence determined here:
1. Manual assignment
2. Priority assigned when the campaign or trade promotion was created
3. Identification or campaign ID
Manually assigned campaigns are always listed first in sorting, whereas for automatically found campaigns, the priority of the campaign or trade promotion and its identification (name of the marketing project) are used as characteristics for their sort sequence. If there are campaigns or trade promotions with the same priority, the system uses the identification or campaign ID as a sorting criterion, and sorts the campaigns in alphabetical order.
Campaigns or trade promotions that come at the top of the list according to these sorting rules count as the main marketing project.
If you do not use Mobile Sales in your company, you can sort the campaigns or trade promotions on the basis of condition technique. The campaigns or trade promotions are then sorted as follows:
4. Manual assignment
5. Position in the campaign schema (level and counter)
6. Position in the access sequence
7. Priority assigned when the campaign or trade promotion was created
8. Identification or campaign ID
