Integration

Since Business Content is highly integrated, you should familiarize yourself with the procedures for collecting and installing Business Content.

Try to avoid collecting Business Content objects from application areas that you do not want to use. If you collect Business Content objects that you do not need, you waste time and increase the number of active, but unused, objects in your BI system.

Therefore, we recommend that you use the following alternative procedures:

·        Collect objects for roles In data flow before and transfer the collected objects.

·        Collect objects for InfoCubes and InfoProviders In data flow before and transfer the collected objects. Finally, collect objects In data flow after and reinstall.

Note the following important information:

·        Use the In data flow before and after option only if you want to collect and install a small number of objects.

·        If, when you are installing Business Content, error messages such as “No active version of the object available” are displayed, select the Object Types view in the left-hand navigation window, locate the inactive object in the central area of the screen, and drag this object onto the right-hand side of the screen. Then collect only required objects, and install the A version of the object.
