Process documentation Scheduling Billing

Purpose

You can use this business process to create master data for scheduling and schedule records. You generate periodic appointments for meter readings, billings, and budget billings from this master data. To generate schedule records, the schedule master records for meter reading (meter reading units) and billing (portions) must have been created.

Portions group contracts that are to be billed together. Contracts can be assigned either directly in the contract (exception) or indirectly using the meter reading units (standard), which are specified in the utility installation that belongs to the contract. Meter reading units group utility installations by regional viewpoints. They contain all relevant data for meter reading scheduling.

To generate budget billing dates, both the portion and the parameter record must be maintained. The parameter record contains the data for planned debit entry or for printing budget billings. A parameter record can be valid for more than one portion.

To create a meter reading order and execute the meter reading, you must first have generated schedule records.

Process Flow

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

The following business process runs in SAP R/3:

       2.      Generate schedule records

Result

Portions, meter reading units, and the corresponding schedule records are available after scheduling.

You can then execute a simulation for billing a contract.
