Activating Data Transfers for BW Statistics  

Use

For each InfoCube and the areas of OLAP and warehouse management, you can activate and de-activate individually the processes for saving and transferring data. This keeps the time it takes to transfer and save BW statistics data to a minimum and avoids using memory space unnecessarily, even in large installations.

Procedure

You are in the Modeling or Monitoring functional area of the Administrator Workbench.

Choose Tools ® BW Statistics for InfoCubes The BW Statistics: Entry Mode dialog box appears.

Set the indicator in the appropriate area for the InfoCubes, for which you want to run BW statistics:

OLAP

WHM

Remove any indicators that are already set for InfoCubes, for which you do not want to run BW statistics.

The  Save function permanently saves any new entries that you make.

You use the  Delete Data function to remove any BW statistics data from database tables that you no longer need. The BW Statistics: Data in Tables dialog box appears. Choose the time-interval (date and time) for which you want to delete the data. Choose  Delete Data.

By deleting old BW statistics data, you not only save space in the database, you also speed up the data extraction process.

Choose  Continue.
