Use

You can formulate conditions to make data analysis more efficient. In the Web application, the data is restricted in accordance with the conditions so that only the part of the results area in which you are interested is displayed.

Procedure

Defining Conditions

       1.      Call up the conditions wizard. You can call the condition wizard, that guides you through the definition of conditions on a step-by-step basis, from various locations:

¡        In BEx Web Applications: Choose Filter ® Conditions ® Create New Condition in the context menu.

¡        In the List of Conditions Web item : Choose Add.

¡        In the BEx Web Analyzer: Choose Settings ® Tab Page Conditions ® Add.

       2.      Make the required settings for the definition of the condition. For more information, see Definition of Conditionss.

       3.      Choose Exit.

Changing the Settings of a Condition

       1.      Choose a condition in the Web item List of Conditions and choose Details. The conditions wizard appears.

       2.      Change the settings of your condition.

       3.      Choose Exit. Your changes are copied.

Deleting a Condition

...

       1.      Choose a condition in the Web item List of Conditions and choose Delete.

       2.      The condition is deleted.

Result

You have defined or changed a condition for a query. The condition is evaluated in the Web application. Only those objects are displayed which fulfill the defined conditions.
