Individual Object Configuration
An individual object is created with configuration values by linking it to a configurable product. This individual object is fully configured and is an object variant.
The configurable characteristics assigned to the configurable product are assigned values specifically for the individual object. These constitute the configuration values for this object variant.
Configurable products are generally replicated from the ERP system.
When configurable products are created in CRM, the configuration functionality is integrated in the Product Modeling Environment (PME), where the modeling of configurable products is performed.
For more
information, see
Configurable
Products.
You can:
· Create individual objects with configuration values (object variants)
· Change the configuration values of individual objects created in CRM
· Copy individual objects, including their configuration values, and change the configuration values subsequently
· Change the configuration values of individual objects downloaded from the ERP system
Data downloaded from ERP cannot generally be changed in the CRM System. To override this rule, choose in Customizing Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Products ®Enhancements ® Allow Changes to Product Data. Make an entry for the set type COMM_PROD_VAR so that the configuration values can be changed.
C...
1. Create an individual object in the normal manner.
2. On the Basic Data tab page, assign a configurable product in the Config. Product field.
When you have assigned an individual object a configurable product, this cannot be reversed nor a different configurable product assigned once you have saved or maintained configuration values.
3. The Configuration tab page contains the characteristics of the configurable product. You can now maintain values as appropriate and save the configuration.
The configuration values of object variants can be displayed in the Interaction Center (IC) WinClient, but cannot be changed.
