Chart: OLAP Times per InfoCube
Technical name: 0BWTC_C10_Q050
Based on InfoCube: BW statistics MultiProvider (0BWTC_C10)
The Chart: OLAP Times per InfoCube gives an overview of the use and performance of the Business Information Warehouse (OLAP), itemized according to InfoCubes.
This graphic representation allows you a quick overview, for example, of the following times:
What was the total time taken (OLAP) for each of the InfoCubes examined?
The total runtime (OLAP) results from the total of the individual times for each InfoCube. The total height of the bars represents the total query runtime. The vertical axes on the left-hand side specify the time in seconds.
How much time did the individual processing steps demand?
The bars display the proportion of times contained in the Times (OLAP) for Diagram (0BWTC_C10_S050) structure for each InfoCube. The following key figures are evaluated for this and are displayed using different colors:
· Time, initializing the OLAP Processor when starting the query (0TCTTOLINI)
· Time, processing by the OLAP Processor (0TCTTOLAP)
· Time, reading from the database (0TCTTDBRD)
· Time, frontend processing (0TCTTFRONT)
· Time, authorization check (0TCTTAUTH)
· Time, reading texts / master data (0TCTTRDMDA)
Which special features stand out? What do these reveal? Are there improvement recommendations, where necessary?
If the initialization times for the OLAP Processor are abnormally long (0TCTTOLINI) for all InfoCubes, this indicates that queries are regenerated relatively frequently in the system under examination. This is typical of a development system. In test and productive systems, these times are much shorter.
If, for example, frontend processing accounts for the largest share (0TCTTFRONT), this can be due to insufficient storage space on the PC and therefore, to frequent swapping.

The queries Chart: OLAP Times per InfoCube (0BWTC_C10_Q050) and OLAP Use per InfoCube (Time) (0BWTC_C10_Q500) are very similar.
