Creating Indexes 

Use

Before you can perform a search for the first time, you have to index the business objects. The following procedure describes how you can create the necessary indexes to do this.

Prerequisites

You have the authorization to use the transaction SES_ADMIN. You require the role SAP_BC_SES_ADMIN.

Procedure

...

       1.      Start transaction SES_ADMIN.

       2.      Choose Menu ® Index ® Create/Activate Indexes.

A dialog box appears with multiple selection options.

       3.      Choose Select All and then Next.

The system automatically generates the required index IDs and creates the indexes in the TREX system. The indexes are displayed in the index monitor of the transaction SES_ADMIN.

Make sure that the system generates a corresponding success message.

The Create Indexes step has to be repeated after every system installation, even when the system was created by means of a copying process or if the Customizing was imported from another system.
