Background documentation Standard InfoSets for Use in the Segment Builder Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

SAP supplies standard InfoSets covering many of the queries most useful for marketing purposes. These InfoSets can be accessed by choosing the input help for the field InfoSet Query in the transaction for maintaining data sources. To access this transaction, from the SAP Easy Access Menu, choose Marketing ® Segmentation of Business Partners ® Marketing Segments ® Maintain Data Sources for Segment Builder.

To define these InfoSets (for example, to view which table joins are used as data sources), use the SAP menu and choose Architecture and Technology ® ABAP Workbench ® Utilities ® SAP Query ® InfoSets. Double-click on the relevant InfoSet from the list and on the following screen choose for example Join Definition.

Selection by relative date. Filter values: Birthday tomorrow, next week etc. The corresponding attribute list contains the values “Birthday tomorrow”, “Birthday next week”, and so on. This InfoSet enables you to run event-triggered marketing campaigns.

CRM_MKTTG_BP_ADDR

 

Business Partner Address

Selection of BP according to various address attributes such as postal code, city, language key, country key. Additional selection through a particular communication medium (for example where a telephone number is maintained).

Business Partner Master: Central Data

Selection by group type, nationality, language, legal entity of organization, industry, contact permission, form of address key, data origin, business partner category.

Selection by business partner relationship category, business partner category, validity date ("valid to" date).

Business Partner: Contact Person Relations of Organizations

This InfoSet can be used as two different data sources, depending on your entry in the field Business Partner in the transaction Maintain Data Sources for Segment Builder:

a) BP: Contact Persons for Organizations (entry in field Business Partner: BUT000_PER-PARTNER_GUID)

Selection of business partners who are permanent or temporary contact persons for organizations. 

Selection criteria are:
Organization: Correspondence language, legal entity of organization, language, industry, contact permission, business partner category.

Business partner relationship: Validity date, department, VIP partner, decision authority of partner, and function of partner
Contact persons: Date of birth, language, correspondence language, nationality, business partner category.

b) BP: Organizations with Contact Persons (entry in field Business Partner: BUT000-PARTNER-GUID)

Selection of business partners of category Organization for which particular contact persons/temporary contact persons are defined.
The selection criteria are the same as those listed for BP: Contact Persons for Organizations above.

Business Partner: Partner Function

Depending on his/her partner function, a responsible employee (a key account manager for example) can select those business partners for which he or she is responsible.

Filter values:

·         Partner function:

Defines the relationship between the business partner making the selection, and the business partner(s) to be selected. The business partner making the selection could for example be a sales representative or interaction center agent who wishes to select the business partners for which he/she is responsible.

·         Business partner number:

Number of the business partner who wishes to perform the selection.

·         Division, distribution channel, sales organization.

Note

The business partner relationships must be correctly specified, that is, specified as they are defined in Customizing.

This InfoSet is not suitable for every partner function (bill-to party for example). It is most useful for persons defined as employee responsible or contact person.

Contact Person Relationships for Organizations with Postal Code

Selection of business partners from a particular region and with a particular partner function. Selection criteria are the same as those listed for the InfoSet Business Partner: Postal Codes above.

This InfoSet is an enhanced version of InfoSet CRM_MKTTG_BP_ORG. It makes it possible to select by place or postal code.

Note

Partner function: Function that a person exercises within a company.

Selection for field Business Partner in the transaction Maintain Data Sources for the Segment Builder.

a)     BUT000_PER-PARTNER_GUID (contact person)

CRM Marketing: Business partner by postal code

Selection by postal code, post box, or company (if large company).

CRM_MKTTG_BP_RESPNSE

 

Response Rate for E-Mail Hyperlink

Selection by number of clicks on a hyperlink in an E-mail related to a given marketing campaign. The filter values themselves are user defined.

Recommended filter value:

     0 ­ link not used at all (no response)

     > 1 – link used (response)

     Campaign (name/description) (Can be specified as a business rule in the Segment Builder)

This InfoSet helps you determine whether a link was used at all, and if so how often. It also enables you to break down your target groups further according to their response behavior.

Other filter values:

  • Marketing: E-Mail Address

Address that appears as sender address in a marketing campaign.

  • Indicator: Test Mails

Displays whether entries in a mailing list arose from running a communication channel test for a mail form or campaign. Enables you to exclude test mails.

  • Indicator: Error sending mails

This indicator is set if an error occurs when an E-mail is sent, for example if the recipient's address is incorrect. Note however, that this indicator can only be set if E-mails are sent via the SAP System's SMTP node.

  • Actual start and end date of a marketing campaign
  • Completion percentage (campaign)
  • Name of person who created object (campaign)

CRM_MKTTG_RFM

 

RFM Analysis

Business partner selection by last purchase date, purchasing frequency, turnover.

CRM_MKTTG_ORG_SALES_OFF

Sales Office

Selection of all business partners of a sales office.
