Maintaining Business Partner Data
You create business partner data centrally, enter the relevant data, and can use this for integration with other functions.
To modify the views of the fact sheet or summary for business partners for financial services to meet your requirements, in Customizing you can change the settings provided in the standard system.
For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Customer Relationship Management ® People-Centric CRM (CRM Portal Content) ® Fact Sheet/Summary ® Define Views.
When you maintain business partner data, you use the following central work areas and views:
In this screen area, you can search for business partners:
· In a simple search, you can use attributes, such as the name or city, or a search term to search for business partners.
You define search terms on the General Information tab page.
· In an advanced search, you can use several attributes or search terms to search for business partners.
· To reuse search queries, you can save these with a name.
The hit list shows the results of a search. You can perform the following functions, depending on your user role:
· You can add business partners to your list of favorites or remove them from it.
· If you select a business partner in the hit list, the system displays the summary for the business partner (see below).
· To maintain business partner data, you can switch to the details view (see below).
· To obtain an overview of the most important business partner data, you can switch to the fact sheet (see below).
The details area displays the special information for a business partner.
· The information on a business partner is distributed among several tab pages.
For information on the FS-specific business partner data, see Data on the Business Partner for Financial Services.
· On the tab pages, you can display the data in a list view or form view.
The fact sheet provides you with an immediate and condensed 360°-degree overview of information about business partners. The system gets this information from several sources. The fact sheet enables you to see the most essential details about your key customers, or the partners that have been specified in business transactions.
The fact sheet has its own navigation options under Detailed Navigation on the left of the screen. This enables you to locate the information you need (such as marketing information, sales information, or service information) quickly and easily.
