Administer Synchronization Log
Use
While you are performing the synchronization with the report RSLDAPSYNC_USER, the system registers in the synchronization log whether and which error messages occurred. The error messages are recorded in the log for each user. At the end of the synchronization process, the current synchronization log file is displayed as a results screen.
As an administrator, you can also display older logs as often as you want using transaction LDAPLOG or SLG1, as the logs are stored and not overwritten. This means that you can react to errors in an older synchronization later.
Displaying the log
The system displays the LDAP Synchronization screen.

To display only the logs for a particular directory service, specify the name of the directory service in the Ext. Identif. Field.

You can also display the log with the SAP standard functions of the Business Application Log using transaction SLG1.
Delete Log
The system displays the Application Log: Delete Expired Logs screen.

You can also define an expiration data for the logs so that logs whose expiration date has already passed are automatically deleted when transaction SLG2 is started. For more detailed information, see the
Help for Using Transaction SLG2.
