Adapter objects are objects that are exchanged between a source and a target system, for example, between an R/3 backend system and the CRM Server. Examples of adapter objects are business partner master data, orders, and product master data.

A list of the supported objects is available in the CRM Server application. You can display this list in the object management under Data Exchange.

For some objects there is a sequence in which the objects have to be exchanged between the systems. There is a difference between independent and dependent objects. Dependent objects cannot be transferred until their superior objects have been transferred to the other system.
