In this example, all items are relevant for ATP check.

The sales order has three items which are to be delivered at the same time. Therefore, they all belong to the same delivery group.

Note that nothing could be confirmed for item 30. Therefore, the system generates a delivery group schedule line for item 20 (and also for items 10 and 30) with confirmed quantity = 0.

In this case, availability check has to be carried out again for item 30 at a later date. The item can also be confirmed if the sales order is called up by Structure linkbackorder processing.

Based on the delivery group date, backwards scheduling is carried out to determine the material availability date. This date is used to reserve the products for items 10 and 20 in the SAP APO System. This will ensure that all the items belonging to the delivery group will be confirmed at the same time when the unconfirmed item is confirmed at a later stage.
