Data Exchange for Activities: CRM Online – CRM Mobile Sales 
Use
You can work with business activities both in the CRM online and Mobile Sales applications. This means that you can see business activities wherever you are, either at your PC in the office or on your laptop computer at a customer site, for example. The activities are exchanged between the systems via
Middleware every time an activity is changed, thus enabling you to remain constantly up-to-date with all your activities.
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites must be met in the CRM online system:
- You must have completed Customizing settings for the activities. As the CRM online application is the leading system, these settings automatically apply to the activities in the Mobile Sales application. For more information, see the IMG for Customer Relationship Management ®

Settings for Activities.
- Employees must be created as business partners (type: employee).
- As the system understands all partners with the partner function category contact person as activity partners, you must indicate the activity partner you want to be transferred to Mobile Sales as the Main partner in the Partner tab page in the activity.
The system transfers all other partners belonging to the partner function categories contact person and employees (employee and employee responsible).
The following prerequisites must be met in the Mobile Sales system:
- Subscription lists must exist on the administration console for Mobile Sales. Each mobile client must subscribe to Customizing objects, as well as to one or more of the following subscription lists:
- Activities by employees
- Activities by business partner
- Activities by opportunity
- You must de-activate the Private indicator for appointments, if you want to transfer them to the CRM online system.
Activities
Activities are transferred between the Mobile Sales and the online application every time an activity is created, changed, or deleted.
The system transfers all the information contained in the activity, including notes.
- You can continue to process activities that have already been distributed to another system.
Note that you cannot change the transaction type of the activity once it has been transferred.
- The system does not transfer the following information from the mobile to the online application:
- Activity journals
- Attachments
- The system does not transfer extra addresses in the Address tab page for activities from the online to the mobile application.
