Advanced Field Settings
You can specify advanced field settings to define mappings for the various source and target fields.
Direct Mapping: You can use direct mapping to specify a one to one mapping between the source and target fields.
Constant: Choose this option to specify a constant value for a field. In case of categorical field, it would contain list of all valid values for this field.
User Exit: You can choose this option to define your own customized mappings for the application fields and the model or KPI fields.
Value Mapping: You can choose this option to bin the data while mapping the fields. For example, a KPI Set field may return the values for Revenue generated by customers that may be mapped to High, Medium and Low for defined value ranges in the corresponding set of application fields. You can use value mapping to bin such data. It also enables mapping when the data format in the application field and model or KPI field is different. For example, you can map the values for customer category Profitable in the application with 01 in the model or KPI field. The values must be consistent with the application and model data types. For example, you cannot map numerical value ranges with categorical fields.
You must specify the name and description for value mapping. You can use this as a Value Mapping Template to perform similar mappings for same application field in other tasks of the same application.
For continuous field types, you can specify the interval types such as Closed-Closed, Open-Open, Open-Closed, Closed-Open which will be applicable to both source and target fields. For categorical fields, you can choose from the list of valid values. You can specify Other Values for values that cannot be mapped using any of the above options.
Treatment of Null Values: You can specify the treatment of null values using this option. If you choose As Null Value option, then null values will be considered as they are, that is, as null. If you choose Raise Error, then the system will raise an error every time it encounters a null value. If you want to specify a default value for all the null values, then choose the Replace with Default option.
Treatment of Invalid Values: You can specify the treatment of invalid values using this option. This is applicable only for categorical fields. Use the Do not Check option to ignore all the invalid values. If you specify the Treat as Null option, then Treatment of Null Values is applied. The options Raise Error and Replace with Default are the same as in Treatment of Null Values.
Choose Accept to save the advanced field settings.
The Target Operator Type will
always be Equal to, except when you specify the Source Operator
Type as Between and when the field type is numeric. The
Target Operator Type will also be Between for this.
