Example: Partial Delivery
In this example, all items are relevant for ATP check. Partial delivery is allowed (in the sales order header, the DeliveryControl field under Shipping is set to Partial delivery allowed).
The sales order has three items which are to be delivered at the same time. Therefore, they all belong to the same delivery group.
Only a partial quantity could be confirmed for item 20. Therefore, the system generates a delivery group schedule line for item 20 with a partial confirmed quantity = 5.
In this case, all items will be delivered on Dec. 12; for item 20 only the partial quantity will be delivered. For the remaining quantity in item 20, availability check has to be carried out again at a later date. The item can also be confirmed if the sales order is called up by
backorder processing.
