Function documentation Displaying Configurable Products Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can see intended configuration possibilities for configurable products in the product catalog in the R/3 System.

This function enables you to check whether configuration in the R/3 material master was successful and whether it was transferred to the Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC). The IPC is responsible for price determination.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text 

If the configurable product is a telephone, for example, you can set the broadcast technology to analog, digital or satellite. The price is adjusted in accordance with the selection.

Prerequisites

You have carried out the following assignments in the R/3 System

     You have assigned characteristics to configurable products

     You have assigned a class to the configurable product and assigned it to the corresponding characteristic

     You have assigned the defined class to the configurable product.

You have determined the product models in the R/3 System. In addition, you have created:

     Configurable materials

     A configuration table

     A configuration profile

     A dependency network

     You have assigned a dependency network to the configuration profile.

Further prerequisites:

     The configurable material has been replicated to the CRM system.

     The Internet and Pricing Configurator (IPC) has been installed.

     The knowledge base, that is the sum of all product models, configurable materials and dependencies has been downloaded to the IPC.

Activities

Select the symbol Configurable Product in the item list. You receive a list of all of the configuration possibilities for the configurable product. The symbol only appears for configurable products.
