Function documentation User Settings in the Segment Builder Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

Before you begin modeling profiles and target groups, it is important that you maintain the settings that are to apply to your user each time you start the Segment Builder. These settings control for example how counting operations are performed and on which objects.

Note
Note that these settings are not directly visible once you begin working with the Segment Builder. For example, you cannot see whether or not you are working with samples unless you check your user settings.  Therefore it is recommended that you check your user settings each time you access the Segment Builder.

Features

These settings include determining:

·        Whether a profile set is opened when starting the Segment Builder (and if so which one)

·        Which default segment type is used when creating a profile set

·        Whether an attribute list is opened when starting the Segment Builder (and if so which one)

·        Which master group is used

·        Whether the number of business partners matching a profile is to be automatically counted or not

·        How many business partners are initially displayed when you display a target group

·        Whether the system should automatically save all changes that you make to objects in Segment Builder. When you leave the transaction, you will no longer be prompted to save your data.

·        Whether the changes that you make to a target group (adding/deletion of business partners) are retained or overwritten when the target group is generated again

Activities
