Use

This example provides you with the step-by-step procedure to model a Mobile Sales application and to include the business component, Business Partners, as its single, top-level menu item.

Prerequisites

You have:

·        Modeled the Business Partners component

·        Logged into the required change list context

Procedure

       1.      In the Solution Explorer, click the Applications folder with the secondary mouse button and choose New.

The Add New Item dialog box appears.

       2.      In the Name field, type MobileSalesAll following the namespace prefix, then choose Open.

The Application Designer opens with the empty application.

       3.      Choose View ® Properties.

The Properties window appears.

       4.      In the Caption field, type Mobile Sales All.

       5.      In the Short Name field, type MSA.

The name of the business component and the corresponding business anchors appear in the application pane.

       6.      In the Solution Explorer from the Business Component folder, locate the Business Partners business component.

Note

If Business Partners does not appear in the business component list, you must activate the Display Object Captions option. To do this, click the Business Components folder with the secondary mouse button and choose Display Object Captions.

       7.      Drag the Business Partners business component to the Application Designer window and drop it on the left-hand panel under the caption Mobile Sales All.

       8.      Save the application.

Result

The business component is added as a top-level menu. The tile sets assigned the business component are displayed as menu options. In the right-hand panel, the tile set associated with the menu’s first option is displayed. The application is now ready for generation.
