Procedure documentation Synchronizing BDoc Changes Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You use this procedure to obtain the latest business documents (BDocs) and the corresponding details from the BDoc Repository onto a Mobile Development Workstation (MDW). You must perform this procedure to view and use BDocs and their details while modeling business objects, business queries, and combo engines.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

SAP delivers the entire BDoc Repository metadata along with Mobile Application Studio (MAS). This metadata is available as files (with .bdoc as the extension) in the tpsfiles folder of the MAS installation path (C:\Program Files\SAP\Mobile). MAS accesses these .bdoc files and allows you to view and use BDocs in MAS. However, when BDocs are created, modified, or deleted in the BDoc Repository, you must synchronize these changes with the corresponding .bdoc files on your MDW.

Prerequisites

You have:

·        Received information that BDocs have been created, modified, or deleted in the BDoc Repository.

·        Obtained authorization to access the CRM Server that contains the BDoc Repository.

·        Obtained the CRM Server connection details such as destination, application server, system number, client, language, login ID, and password from your Technical Administrator.

Procedure

...

       1.      In Mobile Application Studio, choose Tools ® MASOptions.

The MAS Options window appears.

       2.      Choose the Server Connection Page option.

       3.      In the Server Details and Login Parameters frames, enter data as required.

       4.      Choose Test Connection.

A message appears indicating whether or not a connection with the CRM Server can be established. If the connection cannot be established, then you must verify the server and login data that you have entered.

       5.      Choose Apply and then choose OK.

MAS establishes a connection with the CRM Server.

       6.      Choose View ® BDoc Explorer.

The BDoc Explorer window appears.

       7.      Click the BDoc Objects node with the secondary mouse button and choose Synchronize.

The Bdoc Synchronization Screen appears.

       8.      Select the Delta (Change from Last Sync date) radio button.

       9.      Choose Sync.

Result

The tpsfiles folder under the MAS installation path is updated with the latest BDoc changes. The BDoc Explorer now allows you to view and use the latest BDoc details.
