Deleting Requests from the PSA
With this function you delete requests from the PSA. This reduces the volume of data in the PSA. It is a good idea to delete incorrect requests or deltas for a data target, to which you do not want to load any more delta.
You have loaded data to the PSA and have checked that the PSA data that you want to delete is no longer required.
You are in the plan view of the process chain in which you want to insert the process variant.
...
1. To insert a process variant for deleting requests from the PSA in the process chain, select process type Deletion of Requests from the PSA from process category Further BI Processes by double-clicking.
2. In the next dialog box, enter a name for the process variant and choose Create.
3. In the next screen, enter a description for the process variant and choose Continue.
The maintenance screen for the process variant appears.
4. Under Type of Object, determine the object type that you want to use to select the requests that are to be deleted. You can make the selection directly (by specifying the PSA table), or implicitly (by choosing an InfoPackage or data transfer process).
5. Under Name of Object, choose the objects for which you want to delete requests. The system supports multiple selections.
6. Specify the requests that need to be deleted by determining the days or dates. You also have the option to specify whether you only want to delete successfully updated requests, and/or only incorrect requests, that are no longer updated in an InfoProvider (this is only valid for transaction data).
7. Save your entries and go back.
8. On the following screen, confirm the addition of the process variants in the process chain.
You arrive in the plan view for the process chain. The process variant for deleting requests from the PSA is included in your process chain.
You are in an object tree in the Data Warehousing Workbench.
