Use

You can extend partner/product ranges by your own fields. The concept of set types is for this purpose, so you can define your own fields and / or attributes, and create your own PPR set types for them.

Integration

You can execute checks for the extension fields in PPR maintenance, in the business transaction and in the PPR product proposals.

The following Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are for this purpose:

·        PRP_MAINTAIN_CHECK: Checks for PPR maintenance

·        PRP_ORDER_CHECK: Checks for the PPR activity check

·        PRP_PROPOSE_CHECK: Checks for PPR product proposals

Implement the BAdI for user-defined PPR checks in the implementation guide (IMG) in the Customizing for Partner/Product Ranges under Business Add-Ins.

Features

You can create your own additional fields as attributes, depending on your customer-specific requirements and business transactions. These attributes are combined with the PPR set types and assigned to a reference type.

You can define your own extensions for the following PPR objects and reference types:

·        Organizational data:

¡        Transaction type (reference type '00')

¡        Sales organization (reference type '01')

¡        Service organization (reference type '02')

¡        Partner function (reference type '05')

·        Business partner references:

¡        Business partner (reference type '01')

¡        Group hierarchy node (reference type '03')

¡        Marketing segment (reference type '04')

¡        Reference to other PPRs (reference type '09')

¡        Business partner from the PPR business partner rule (reference type '89')

·        Product references:

¡        Product (reference type '01')

¡        Product category (reference type '02')

¡        Product hierarchy (reference type '03')

¡        Reference to other PPRs (reference type '09')

¡        Individual object (reference type '22')

¡        Product catalog (reference type '70')

¡        Product catalog view (reference type '71')

¡        Product catalog area (reference type '72')

¡        Product from the PPR product rule (reference type '89')

·        Validity period references:

¡        Date: from / to (reference type '01')

¡        Reference to other PPRs (reference type '09')

¡        Validity period from the validity period rule (reference type '89')

A series of predefined PPR set types with corresponding attributes are part of the standard delivery by SAP and you can call these up using the input help when maintaining the PPR set types.

You can likewise extend the predefined PPR set types by your own attributes. You can find more information under Structure linkEasy Enhancement Workbench for Partner/Product Ranges.

For general documentation about the Easy Enhancement Workbench see Architecture and Technology ®User Interface ® Extensions with Easy Enhancement Workbench in CRM.

Note

The extension fields serve as information only; they do not provide additional functions.

Special Features for the People-Centric UI

You can display and maintain the additional fields.

Special Features for Mobile Client

All values for the extension fields are automatically distributed to the Mobile Client and can be changed there.

A download to Mobile Client takes place for the assignments of the PPR set types in Customizing for the PPR type. However, the data may not be changed there.

Activities

To create a PPR set type, first create attributes for the additional fields.

Creating an Attribute

...

       1.      Call up the transaction Maintain Set Types and Attributes (COMM_ATTRSET) in the SAP Menu under Products.

       2.      For each attribute enter an ID and a description in the required languages that will be used for displaying the field in the PPR dialog.

       3.      Choose an attribute type.

       4.      Enter the fixed value descriptions in the logon language on the tab page Value Range, if necessary.

Enter more lines for additional languages, if required.

       5.      Save your data.

Creating a PPR Set Type

...

       1.      Call up the transaction Maintain Partner/Product Rangesand Set Types (CRMM_PPR_SETTYPES) in the SAP Menu.

       2.      For each set type enter an ID and a description in the logon language.

Enter more lines for additional languages, if required.

       3.      Assign the desired predefined or newly-created attributes on the tab page Assigned Attributes.

       4.      Save your data.

Assigning a PPR Set Type

...

       1.      Assign the set type at header and / or item level to a reference type.

Make the require settings for this in the Customizing for Partner/Product Ranges under Basic Settings ® Define Partner/Product Range Types.

       2.      You can likewise make the settings for displaying the extension fields in the PPR dialog here, for example, the sequence of the fields.

       3.      Save your data.

The extended fields are then displayed as a separate column in the dialog when the relevant PPR type and reference type are selected.

Example

PPR set type IBU_CP for the consumer goods industry with attributes such as the listing label and listing price.
