Product Catalog
On the basis of your product master data, you can create a product catalog and use it to present your products in the Web shop or using other forms of media, for example printed format or CD-ROM. You can tailor your product catalog to meet your individual needs. For example, you can create a catalog in English with the product prices shown in US Dollars. Or a catalog in German with the product prices displayed in Euros.
You maintain your product catalog in your SAP CRM system using the product master data.
If you are using CRM E-Commerce, you can additionally maintain your catalog using the CRM E-Commerce Web Catalog Management tool. With the Web Catalog Management tool you create and maintain your product catalog in a Web browser environment. In the Web browser you have the same product catalog management functions, as in the SAP GUI in your SAP CRM system. You can use either the Web Catalog Management tool, or your SAP CRM system, or you can vary between the two.
The product catalog is integrated with the following components:

Mandatory components are required in order to be able to implement the product catalog. You can implement optional components as necessary
In addition to the above components, you need to have installed CRM E-Commerce and set up Web Catalog Management on the SAP Web AS Java 7.00 server engine, using the Web application archiving file (webcatadmin.ear), provided with the Web Catalog Management installation.
You have maintained products in your product master in your SAP CRM system. In the SAP Easy Access Menu choose Master Data ® Products ® Maintain Products.
To create a product catalog, you carry out the following activities in the SAP CRM system or, if you are using CRM E-Commerce, in the Web-based Web Catalog Management tool:
● Manage lists of catalog characteristics
● Edit product accessories (if manual product assignment is determined)
● Assign product catalog authorizations
● Activate catalogs for publication
● Replicate catalogs to the index server
● Perform XML exports and imports
