Filtering in Replication by Criteria Fields
Criteria
fields are the fields of an intelligent or simple intelligent
replication object
that can be relevant to the distribution of the object.
Criteria
fields are specified for replication objects and depending on
publications. Depending on
the BDoc
types upon which the replication object is based, criteria fields for the
replication of an
object can be defined. Furthermore,
a criteria field can be defined such that either its value must be matched
exactly or a range of values is allowed.
The contents
(characteristic values) of criteria fields are criteria values that are
administered and maintained in an own table for defined
sites.
The replication object “Customer” contains the field “Sales area” which is defined as a criteria field. On the basis of the contents of this field, the objects are made available to the various sites.
The postal code is the distribution criterion for the replication object “Customer”. A value range has been defined for it in the criteria fields. For example, criteria values between 30,000-40,000 are now established for site ID=A1.
