Displaying Documents for InfoProvider
Data
You are using the List of Documents Web item in a Web application or have called the document display for InfoProvider data from the Documents context menu from the BEx Analyzer or a Web application and discover that the list of documents displayed is not correct:
· In the display, documents for the current navigational state that are stored are missing.
· Documents not for the current navigational state are also displayed.
Or you have switched on the Display Document Links query property and the display of the document icons is not correct.
You assign documents for InfoProvider data to several characteristic values, several key figures, and (optionally) a query and/or an InfoProvider. This means that the documents can have the fixed properties InfoProvider, Query and Key Figure. Additionally, the documents have some characteristics as properties. They are the characteristics that you set in the characteristic maintenance as Characteristic Is Document Property. You can use only these characteristics to assign a document to the InfoProvider data. These characteristics are document-relevant characteristics. For example, you can assign a document to the InfoProvider ABC, the key figures Sales Revenue and Profit, as well as the materials Television and Radio and the year 2002.

It is not possible to use navigation attributes to assign documents. Even if the attribute itself is a document-relevant characteristic, this is not possible. Therefore, model all the characteristics that you want to use for assigning documents as direct characteristics in the InfoProviders and not as navigation attributes.
You can see the document properties in the Data Warehousing Workbench in the documents for InfoProvider data area. Select the document by entering suitable selection conditions. You can then display the properties of the document by choosing Properties.... You assign documents to the InfoProvider data on the Logical Document Properties tab page.
