The following example shows how the ATP check takes PASS into consideration.

The Safety Stock field in the sales order = Q.

PASS is calculated. But the time series for PASS are not maintained for the safety stock.

Neither the forecasted demand nor the safety stock are protected. Therefore, the entire stock is available for the sales order.

Available for ATP check  = 1000 pc

Therefore, all 900 pc can be confirmed for the sales order.

Caution

The standard safety stock can also be maintained and taken into consideration for the ATP check. However, in this example, it is not. It is merely used as a basis to calculate the PASS.
