Use

In your Web application, you can select filter values for characteristics and structures. The Web application is then filtered according to these selected values.

Procedure

Selecting Single or Multiple Filter Values

       1.      Choose Display Tool  ® Single Values.

You can choose from all possible values for the respective characteristic or structure in a query. Depending on the query setting, the values are displayed as a key and/or text. You can select one or more values from this set of values.

       2.      Choose Display View  ® All.

       3.      Select the required single value and choose Add.

You can also select more than one single value: Use the Shift key to select multiple values and then choose Add.

       4.      Choose OK.

Sorting the list

You can sort the specified values in ascending and descending order. To do this, click on the relevant arrow in the column header of the list of single values.

Filtering the list

You can filter the specified values in order, for example, to view only those values that begin with A in the case of a large number of values. Enter the filter criterion (for example, A*) in the empty field next to the filter symbol.

Selecting Value Ranges

You can define or exclude value ranges for filter values.

       1.      Choose Value Range under Display Tool and Display View.

       2.      Depending on whether you want to include or exclude a value range from the selection, choose either Include or Exclude under Characters.

       3.      Select the operator in the dropdown box and enter the relevant values:

     Choose Between for an interval and enter the lower limit of the interval in the first input field and the upper limit in the second input field.

     In the case of Is Equal To, Is Greater Than, Is Greater Than or Equal To, Is Less Than, and Is Less Than or Equal To, choose the required operator and then enter the required value in the first input field.

You determine the values for the input field by clicking on the input help symbol (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text). A window appears where you can select a single value. Select the required value and choose OK.

       4.      Choose Add and then choose OK.
