Process documentation Settling Energy Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Purpose

You use this business process to transfer consumption data that you calculate and manage using SAP Utilities – Energy Data Management (EDM). You can store all relevant incoming settlement data in EDM’s central database, or you can determine it there using formula calculation, for example. SAP Utilities - EDM includes the synthetic and analytical procedures as standard in accordance with the German Associations’ Agreement (VVII).

You can use the processes in SAP Utilities – Intercompany Data Exchange (IDE) to communicate this data to other market participants.

Process Flow

The business process runs as follows in SAP Utilities:

       1.      Define settlement master data

       2.      Create settlement document

       3.      Transfer calculated information to other market participants

       4.      Analyze settlement run

Result

You have created a profile (with consumption values per time interval) for every settlement period, for example, for each settlement unit or each grid. At the end of the settlement run, you can send the results to the settlement coordinators (usually the suppliers). The settlement coordinators use this data to forecast the future consumption of their customers.
