Procedure documentation Designing the Application Layout Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Prerequisites

You have:

·        Created the application

·        Added the business components you require for the application

·        Switched to the required change list

Procedure

       1.      In the Solution Explorer in the Applications folder, click the application you want to design and choose View Designer.

The application opens in the Application Designer.

       2.      In the Solution Explorer in the Business Components folder, drag the desired business component to the Application Designer window and drop it on the panel on the left-hand side.

The selected business component is included in the application. Its name becomes the top-level menu item.

       3.      Repeat step 2 as many times as necessary to include all business components you require to build the application, then continue with step 4..

       4.      If you want to change the sequence of the business components (menu items), drag the business components within the application design area and drop it in the appropriate place.

       5.      Associate hyperlink sources with hyperlink targets.

Note

Hyperlinks make it possible at runtime for the user to switch from one business context to another without losing the specific context data.

       6.      Save the application.

Result

You have associated the required business components with the application and created the application’s hyperlinks.
