Advance Selection Criteria for Tables Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You use this to specify advance selection conditions for selecting tables while generating table scripts.

Enter the name of the table(s).

You can use only two wild card characters, asterisk and percentage.

To select tables starting with S, enter S* in the Table Name field.

To select tables which have TAX as part of their name, enter %TAX% in the Table Name field.

To select tables, you specify a range by entering a value in the to field.

To select tables starting with A till M, enter A* in the Table Name field and N* in the to field.

Note

If you enter a name only in the to field, all the tables till that name are selected.

You can also specify multiple table names in the Table Name field with a semicolon as separator. However, in this case, you cannot specify a range.

To select the two tables Customer and Employee, enter Customer;Employee in the Table Name field.

Modified between/and

Specifies the date when a table was modified

Opt./Dep.

Enter the date of modification of the table.

Note

You cannot manually enter the date. To select the date, choose Ellipsis next to the field.

All the tables modified from the date you specify are selected. To select tables modified between two dates, enter the start date in the Modified between field and the end date in the and field.

Note

If you enter a date only in the and field, all the tables modified till that date are selected.

Modified By

Specifies the name of the user who modified the table

Opt.

Enter the name of the user.

You can use only two wild card characters, asterisk and percentage. You can also specify multiple user names in this field with a semicolon as separator.

Name/to

Specifies the name of the business document type associated with the table

Opt./Dep.

Enter the name of the business document type(s).

You can use only two wild card characters, asterisk and percentage.

To select tables associated with BDoc types starting with C, enter C* in the Name field.

To select tables associated with BDoc types, you specify a range by entering a value in the to field.

To select tables associated with BDoc types starting with A till M, enter A* in the Name field and N* in the to field.

Short Name/to

Specifies the short name of the business document type associated with the table

Modified between/and

All the tables associated with BDoc types modified from the date you specify are selected. To select tables associated with BDoc types modified between two dates, enter the start date in the Modified between field and the end date in the and field.

Modified By

Specifies the name of the user who modified the business document type

Enter the name of the user.

You can use only two wild card characters, asterisk and percentage. You can also specify multiple user names in this field with a semicolon as separator.

Note

If you enter only asterisk or percentage in any of the text fields, all the tables are selected.

Mobile Application (Read Only)

Type of business document class

Select this option to select all the tables associated with read-only BDoc types.

 

Mobile Application (modifiable Read)

Type of business document class

Select this option to select all the tables associated with modifiable read BDoc types.

 

Synchronization (Write)

Type of business document class

Select this option to select all the tables associated with synchronization BDoc types.

 

Standard

Indicates the type of processing

Query

Indicates the type of processing

Select this option to select all the tables associated with query BDoc types.

Indicates the type of processing

Select this option to select all the tables associated with special BDoc types.

Indicates the status of a business document type

Opt.

Select this option to select all the tables associated with released BDoc types.

 

Partially Released

Indicates the status of a business document type

Opt.

Select this option to select all the tables associated with partially-released BDoc types.

 

Not Released

Indicates the status of a business document type

Opt.

Select this option to select all the tables associated with BDoc types that are not released.

Note

If you do not specify a value for any of the text fields or checkboxes, no tables are selected.

 

Note

A query is constructed based on the selection conditions you specify. The query uses the AND filter for values in the text fields and the OR filter for values of checkboxes. In between selection groups (marked by group boxes), the query uses the AND filter.

Result

The query selects tables based on the selection criteria you specify.

Example

To select tables (associated with read-only query BDoc types) starting with C till S, enter C* in the Table Name field, T* in the to field, and select Mobile Application (Read Only) and Query from the respective group boxes. The query selects only those tables that are associated with read-only query BDoc types in the specified range.
