Mobile Repository Server Configuration

Purpose

This process describes how the Mobile Repository Server (MRS) is configured, in the development environment. The purpose of this configuration is to facilitate a multi-user development when using the Mobile Application Studio.

Process Flow

       1.      The system administrator creates user accounts for mobile development workstations. This is done for access to the MAR. For more information, see Creation of User Accounts and  User Manager.

       2.      The system administrator registers a top-level namespace in the development environment. This is required to distinguish between objects modeled in the customer environment, and objects delivered by SAP. For more information, see Namespace Implementation and Namespace Manager.

Result

The MRS has been configured in the development environment. The system administrator can now configure the MRS in for the test and production environments. Configuring the MRS in the:

·        Test environment allows you to receive and test the customized mobile client application

·        Production environment enables the customized mobile client application to be transported and made available on the mobile client.
