Contact Person Data 

Definition

The creation and management of contact person data for a business partner.

Persons are described as contact persons in Mobile Sales.

Use

You can create contact persons with the most important data, for example telephone number, function and department in the context of Account and Contact Management. 

When you create a contact person, a business partner of the business partner category person is created in the background, along with a contact person relationship.

Special Features in the People-Centric UI

·        In the application Accounts, you have the possibility to create business partners and their respective contact persons in a single step. You do not need to save from time to time or to leave the application.

You can navigate using a hyperlink from the application Accounts to the application Contact Persons, where additional information for this contact person is made available for you to process.

In the application Contact Persons you create or select a contact person and assign him or her to an account that already exists in the system. You can navigate using the hyperlink to the application Accounts, where you can view and maintain the data for this account. Only the relevant data is displayed in the application Contact Persons. If you need information about the other relationships of a contact person, you can display and maintain these relationships in the application Accounts on the tab page Relationships.

·        The addresses stored for the account or business partner are available for you to select as a contact person address. You assign a business address to the contact person when you select an address. It is not possible to define a private address for a contact person.

·        You can send a selected contact person an e-mail or a fax. An activity, which can be displayed on the tab pages Activities and Interaction History, is created in the background for this transaction. Using the hyperlink you can navigate to the relevant transaction in the application Activities, where the texts of the e-mail as well as attachments to the e-mail are stored.

Special Features in Mobile Sales

·        When you enter the business partner data, the main address of the business partner is then displayed on the tile Contact Persons. Here you can add the building, floor, room and also communication data for the contact person. You can create a private address for the contact person in the same step.

·        You can create and delete relationships between two business partners on the following tiles:
