Use

With total commitment, you can display all contracts that one business partner or several related business partners have concluded with your enterprise. The information on the various contracts may exist in different systems, for example in Loans Management and Account Management. With total commitment, you can collect together this distributed information and therefore have an overview of the most important data on the customer’s existing commitment at a glance.

Prerequisites

Before you can display the total commitment, you must meet the following prerequisites:

To display information in the total commitment that you want to manage in external systems, you have defined for example the required systems and applications that are to provide the business partner contract data.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Financial Services under Basic Functions ® Total Commitment ® Total Commitment: General Settings ® Set Total Commitment.

You have carried out the check on total commitment settings.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Financial Services under Basic Functions ® Total Commitment ® Total Commitment: General Settings ® Check Settings for Total Commitment.

To also display leases in the total commitment, you have defined the relevant transaction types that the total commitment is to include.

For further information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Financial Services under Basic Settings ® Total Commitment ® Total Commitment for Leasing.

To implement the calling of external applications in the portal via the people-centric UI, you have assigned a CRM object type and a CRM method to the applications connected to total commitment.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Financial Services under Basic Functions ® Total Commitment ® Assign People-Centric UI Connection to Application.

You can replace the shipped print form for total commitment with a customer-specific form.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Financial Services under Basic Settings ® Total Commitment ® Print Form for Total Commitment.

You can use business add-ins (BAdIs) to modify the displayed information and appearance of total commitment to your particular requirements.

The BAdIs are available in Customizing for Financial Services under Basic functions ® Total Commitment ® Total Commitment: General Settings ® Business Add-Ins (BAdIs).

Features

At the top of the screen, the total commitment displays information on the business partner, such as the date of birth and information on business partner relationships.

In the total commitment, you can display totals for the contract, account balance, and account or card limit.

You can select a contract in the total commitment and display the contract details.

You can choose Partners to display the total commitment of people who have a relationship with the business partner whose total commitment you are currently displaying.

You can print out the total commitment.

In Case Management, you can save a business partner’s total commitment as a document that you have created for the business partner.

Example

You are an employee in a financial institution and want to find out information about the customer Vera Sorokin in preparation for a credit advisory meeting. You display the total commitment and get an overview of her accounts and contracts. Ms Sorokin is married and has a joint current account with her husband. Both own a credit card and the bank has granted a credit limit on the account. The account balance is positive. Ms Sorokin also has two savings accounts and a securities account and has taken out a mortgage loan. The total commitment displays all this customer information at a glance.
