Definition
The ASCII Adapter generates log files, all of which are written to the log directory.
Use
The log files provide information on settings, activities and special details.
Structure
The following files are generated:
CRMASCAD.RUN
The log file, CRMASCAD.RUN, records the parameter settings of the last ASCII Adapter run.
CRMASCAD.LOG
In this log file all the activities of the ASCII Adapter are recorded. Here the date and time of the program start, mapping details, start of the
Flow, etc., are logged.SHOWSUCC
In field SHOWSUCC of table
SMO7ASCAD, you can define a name for a result file per conversion direction and temporary CDB table. The following information is recorded in this file:<table>.ERR
All the line numbers of all lines rejected in the processing are output into this file. Lines are rejected, if , for example, if the key field content is not unique. <table> stands for the name of the processed file.
<table>.REJ
The contents of the rejected lines are output into this file. <table> stands for the name of the processed file.
Integration
If you have decided to use the standard directory structure, the path of the log directory is:
C:\Program Files\SAP\ASCII Adapter\log
If you have defined your own directory structure, the path of the log directory is shown in variable #LogPfad in the
CRMASCAD.PAR parameter file.
