Basic Data
Grouping of basic individual object data.
You can switch between the following views:
Besides the base category already assigned at header level, additional categories from other hierarchies can be assigned to the individual object.
As an individual object always has the product type Material and always belongs to an object family, only those categories can be entered that are also assigned to the product type Material and, if assigned an object family, with the same object family as the base category.
Set type for assigning sales taxes to an individual object.
By assigning sales taxes to an individual object, you determine how an individual object is taxed.
For certain countries (for example, Brazil, Poland, and India), it is not sufficient to specify a tax group. To uniquely identify an individual object for tax purposes in these countries, a tax tariff code is used.
Example
· An individual object is to be taxed at full rate in Germany:
Individual object: 4711
Country: Germany
Tax group: Full
· An individual object is to be taxed at half rate in Brazil:
Individual object: 4712
Country: Brazil
Tax group: Half
Tax tariff code: NBM1
Set type for entering units of measure for an individual object.
The base unit of measure for individual objects is Piece (PC).
You can maintain gross and net weights, volumes, and dimensions (length, width, height) with the relevant units for the individual object.
Alternative units of measure cannot be maintained.

Bear in mind that when you change a unit of measure for a particular individual object, these changes will apply to any condition records that exist for this particular individual object.
The following set types are also available for individual objects, and can be assigned to tab pages as appropriate:

This set type contains information derived from asset accounting in the ERP system.
It is used and filled in the leasing process, and records the company code, main asset number, and asset subnumber, as used in ERP. The asset number information is therefore used when assets are reused.
This set type is used purely to record this information. The data is not replicated from ERP.
This set type
contains general purchase information about an individual object:
· In an Internet Customer Self-Service scenario, for example, this allows you to register the product you have just purchased with the following details:
¡ Purchase location
¡ Purchase date
¡ Time zone for purchase date
This allows
companies to identify their customers and record the necessary data for
warranty processing.
· The status information is used to store the state of an individual object during the different phases in its lifecycle, such as:
¡ Is saleable
¡ Is sold
¡ Is created
¡ Initial state
The status information is set by the state manager and cannot be entered by the user.
States and their transitions can be freely defined in behavior profiles within the Individual Object Integration Framework using the state manager.
For more information, see States and in the IMG Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Products ® Individual Objects ®Individual Object Integration Framework (IOITF) ® State Manager ® Configure Individual Object Integration Framework’s State Manager ® Define Behavior Profile.

The status in the Business Data set type is not related to the status on the Status tab page.
