Use

BI statistics are delivered as part of technical content. The Technical Content role contains all the objects that are needed to implement BI statistics, in particular the BI statistics MultiProvider. You install the BI statistics in the same way as you install Business Content in the Install Business Content functional area of the Administrator Workbench. See Installing Business Content

Caution

The BW statistics version that is delivered with BW 2.0B contains InfoObjects that have changed to such an extent that they are no longer compatible with the InfoCube 0BWTC_C01 that is delivered with BW 1.2B. If you want to continue working with this InfoCube, you cannot install the new InfoCubes, changed InfoCubes, and so on, from the BW statistics.

We recommend that you use the version of BW statistics that is delivered with BW 2.0B. Only install the new InfoCubes.

Prerequisites

We recommend that you make or check the following settings before you install the BI statistics.

...

       1.      Choose the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Source System Assignment. Check that the BI system is highlighted in the list of source systems. If the BI system is not highlighted, the system is not able to collect DataSources and InfoPackages, for example.

       2.      In the BI system, call transaction RSA5 Install Data Sources from Business Content to install the DataSources from the application components TCT (0BWTC* and 0TCT*). Although the DataSources are in the same system, they are not made available automatically.

       3.      In the Modeling functional area of the Administrator Workbench under Source Systems, replicate the DataSources for the BI system.

Since standard InfoSources are prepared for BI statistics, the usual data staging procedure is used to load information into the InfoCubes in the BI statistics.
