Processing SAP ECC Sales Documents in SAP
CRM
This function enables you to create and process sales transactions, such as quotations, sales orders, and contracts, directly in SAP ECC.
You carry out your presales activities such as Opportunity Management and Activity Management in SAP CRM, and then, for example, process a rush order in SAP ECC without exiting the SAP CRM user interface. This means that you can execute your quotation and order processing in SAP ECC, and also integrate SAP CRM into the process.
This function is of particular use to sales employees who work mainly in SAP CRM and only occasionally in SAP ECC, and do not require the full range of functions offered by SAP ECC Quotation and Order Management. Therefore, this option appeals in particular to employees who process their tasks mainly in SAP CRM and are less familiar with SAP ECC. For example, sales assistants can use this function to create simple sales orders.

This function is only available in the SAP CRM People-Centric UI.
● You use SAP ECC for your Quotation and Order Management.
● You are using SAP CRM.
● You have installed an SAP Enterprise Portal, and process sales transactions with the People-Centric UI.
● This function is only supported if you have defined an RFC destination that you assign to parameter ERP_SALES_DOCUMENTS_IN_PCUI. Do this in transaction SM59, or in Customizing at Customer Relationship Management ® CRM Middleware and Related Components ® Communication Setup ® Define RFC Destinations. Make the required settings in Customizing at Customer Relationship Management ® Transactions ® Settings for Sales Transactions ® Define Parameters for RFC Destination.
This function makes it possible to create and process a quotation, sales order, or contract in SAP ECC from SAP CRM. Data is sent directly from SAP CRM to the sales document in SAP ECC. This means that you can decide yourself which system you use to process the sales order.
Different sales document types are available for this, for example, quotations, certain orders (standard order, rush order), and quantity contracts.
The sales representative or sales assistant has determined a potential sales opportunity, and has therefore created an opportunity. If the customer then requests a quotation, the sales employee can immediately create a quotation in SAP ECC. To do so, the sales employee opens the opportunity that he or she created earlier, and creates the quotation as a follow-up document for the opportunity.

information, see
Creating a Quotation
in SAP ECC from an Opportunity
If a sales representative wants to create or process a sales document (quotation, sales order, or contract) because of a customer inquiry, he or she can quickly and easily use this function to enter the required header data, such as transaction type, business partner, and purchase order number, and to enter the required products and order quantities.
If the full range of the features offered by Quotation and Order Management in SAP ECC are required, a more experienced employee can continue the processing in SAP ECC. He or she takes on the sales document, and takes care of its completion and the processing of the follow-up transactions in SAP ECC.
If you want to provide your customer with information on the current status of a sales order that has already been created, you can used the Advanced Search to locate documents quickly, and forward the information to the customer immediately. Additionally, this function allows you to enter changes requested by the customer quickly and easily in the sales order.
Certain restrictions apply to this function. Therefore, it should only be used by sales employees that occasionally work in SAP ECC. You can find extensive information about these restrictions in SAP Note 873433.

Note that any errors that occur are handled according to SAP ECC, and not as they would normally be handled in SAP CRM. This means that if errors occur, you cannot save the sales order, and can only continue with processing of the sales order after the errors have been fixed.
