Definition

A business object that allows you to carry out a service process. The service process can either be a service order or a service request. From a business point of view, a service process can have the details of a service order or can be used for entering an inquiry.

Use

You can classify the service process by using different business transaction types and apply it according to your company’s business process. The transaction type Service Process (SRVO) is provided in the CRM Online system.

Note

If this transaction type is not adequate for the representation of your business processes, you can define your own transaction types during customization using the path: Customer Relationship Management ® Transactions ® Basic Settings ® Define Transaction Types. For each transaction type, you can define the different attributes that are required for a business process.

Structure

The service process consists of header and item data.

·         Header Data - Contains a transaction number, a transaction description, the partner details, service execution dates, and some additional information for the entire transaction.

·         Item data – Contains detailed information about an individual item. For example, status, partner details, category, quantity, type of service, and information on subject and Reference Object.
