Object documentation Service Plan Item

Definition

Item in a service contract, which is mapped along with the Structure linkservice contract item, as an item category of its own for defining Structure linkservice plans.

Caution

In Customizing, the item object type Service Plan Item CRM must be assigned to the item category used for the service plan. This allows service plan data (for example,  interval values) and planned dates to be processed.

Specifics of the SAP GUI:

At item level, you maintain Service Plan Data as service data instead of service agreements.

Specifics of the People-Centric UI:

The additional tab page Service Plan is displayed at item level.

Use

According to the way your service contract is set up, you can create service plan items as subitems for a service contract item (for information on this, see the Structure linkservice contracts section), or you can add service plan items directly to the service contract header without an ‘intervening’ contract item.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

In the service plan item, planned Structure linkservices are established as a product. A service plan item also contains its own information about dates and activities for creating follow-up documents (quotations, activities or service orders) and also about price agreements.

Note

If you want to create a service contract item with service plan items under it, you have the option of using the product proposal in the service contract item. In this way you can automate the creation of the service plan items. For more information, see Structure linkProduct Proposal.

For more information on other possible entries in items, see Structure linkService Contract Item.
