Procedure documentation Associating an Object Library Reference with an Object Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You use this procedure to use the utilities, events, properties, methods or constants of an external Microsoft COM or Microsoft .NET object for user interface and business logic objects.

Example

You can associate the COM reference, Microsoft Excel 10.0 Object Library with a tile to view specific application data in the Microsoft Excel sheet at runtime.

You can add an object library reference to individual user interface objects such as a tile, a tile set, a business component or an application. You cannot add this type of reference to the individual business logic objects. However, you can add it for the entire business library.   

Procedure

...

       1.      In Solution Explorer, click the required user interface object or Business Library with the secondary mouse button and choose References.

The References window appears with .NET and COM tab pages. These tab pages display the libraries that were added earlier to the object you have selected.

       2.      Deselect the Show Selected Items only checkbox.

The.NET and COM tab pages display all libraries that are delivered with Mobile Application Studio (MAS).

       3.      Select the checkbox that corresponds to the object library you want to add.

If an object library, which you want to add, is not available in the .NET and COM tab pages, then perform the following substeps:

                                                  i.       Obtain the object library from a third-party source and store it in the Bin.Net folder in the MAS installation path (C:\Program Files\SAP\Mobile\Bin.Net).

                                                ii.       In the References window, choose Browse.

The Open window appears.

                                               iii.       Select the object library file and choose Open.

The object library appears in the References window.

                                               iv.       Choose Close.

                                                 v.       Repeat step 3.

       4.      Choose Apply and then choose OK.
