Use

You are able to change or delete replacement rules for sites. The scope for possible changes depends on the status of the replacement rule. If assignments are changed, the changes are included in the next background job.

Prerequisites

You have selected the Object type sites in the administration console and, by double clicking on it, have selected a mobile client type site for which you have defined a replacement rule.

Procedure

To change or delete a rule proceed as follows:

       1.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Display<->Change) und select the tab page Replacement rules.

       2.      Select the entry that you want to change or delete.

       3.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Delete row) to delete the entry or This graphic is explained in the accompanying text (Display/change entry) to change an entry.

Planned

All fields can be changed.

The entry can be deleted.

Running

The start date can no longer be changed. The list of replacement sites and the list of exceptions can be changed. The changes will be included in the next background job.

The entry is marked as to be deleted. With the next background job the temporary assignments will be reversed and an extract executed for the replacement site. The entry is finally set to ‘completed’.

Completed

The entry cannot be changed.

The entry can be deleted.

Entries that have surpassed a preassigned age are automatically deleted through the reorganization run.

The changes to the replacement rules are saved together with the site.

       5.      In the menu choose Extras ® Replacement rules ® Execute job manually to start the background job using the replacement rules immediately.
