Translator Profiles
The
translator profile is a safety mechanism that controls the quality statuses
that translators can assign to the proposals they create. For example, only
coordinators and experienced translators can flag proposals for
automatic
distribution.
Every translator has a translator profile for his or her target language.

When you create a proposal in the proposal pool, a dialog box appears, prompting you to assign a quality status to the proposal. Your translator profile determines which quality statuses you can assign in this dialog box. For more information, see Creating Proposals in the Proposal Pool.
If you want to change the quality status of a proposal in the proposal pool, a dialog box appears, prompting you to assign a new quality status to the proposal. Your translator profile determines which quality statuses you can assign in this dialog box. For more information, see Changing the Quality Status of Proposals.
When you use the Distribute Proposals function in the short text editor, a dialog box appears, prompting you to specify the minimum quality status as of which proposals are inserted into empty translation lines. For more information, see Distributing Proposals.
