A business activity is a type of activity that contains data about an interaction with a business partner on a certain date. You can use business activities in CRM Enterprise, CRM Mobile and Channel Management.


Business activities are used to record public interactions, that is, activities undertaken on behalf of the company. Examples of business activities are telephone calls, letters or customer visits. These different categories of activities can be defined according to your company's requirements in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Transactions   Settings for Activities.

Specifics of CRM Enterprise and CRM Mobile

A business activity must be given a partner and a start and end date. If you want to record information for private use or without entering a business partner, you must create a task.
