Device Inspection
With this business process, you can check the devices in different ways according legal and internal requirements.
· Periodic replacement enables you to manage all devices that have to be replaced in a certain year (due to legal requirements, for example).
· In the sample lot procedure, individual devices are inspected. These devices are representative of a group of devices. The process supports you in compiling lots and drawing sample devices.
· In certification, you can certify individual devices.
You can also combine the different procedures, for example, by including devices from a sample lot in the periodic replacement.

1. Create periodic replacement list (IS-U/CCS)
You create a periodic replacement list for one specific year. The list contains all devices that have to be replaced in that year. You can add to the list at a later point in time.
2. Create and compile lot (IS-U/CCS)
You create a sample lot and allocate devices to it (for example, all devices that belong to a device category). You can also allocate devices to a lot on receipt of goods.
3. Draw sample devices (IS-U/CCS)
4. Create service orders for device replacement (IS-U/CCS)
Create service orders for all sample devices. You can also create service orders for a selection of devices from the periodic replacement list.
5. Enter device replacement (IS-U/CCS)
You replace the device for inspection with a device of the same type.
6. Terminate lot and transfer devices to periodic replacement list (IS-U/CCS)
If the devices do not pass inspection, all of the devices in that lot lose their certification and must be removed. In this case, you can copy all devices to the periodic replacement list.
If the devices do pass inspection, the certification of all devices is extended automatically.
7. Certify single devices (IS-U/CCS)
You can also certify devices individually (after inspection).
