Mail Preview 

Use

You use this function to preview the text of a mail as it appears to the receiver. The function is represented by the icon  and can be accessed from the search result list, the worklist or the mail form maintenance transaction.

Features

In the SAPGUI

·        Text preview

Displays the texts attached to a text node. The technical name of an attribute is replaced with the description of the attribute.

·        Text block selection

In the center of the screen, you select the text block(s) to be displayed in the text editor. You can also:

¡        Display the text of the mail in other languages (provided the texts are translated).

¡        Embolden a text block by double-clicking on it.

·        Link preview

The Web sites to which you may have linked in your mail can be viewed in this preview pane. To move between different links, choose the Next link pushbutton in the Text block selection screen area. If you wish to view the Web page full size, choose Start browser. The relevant page is then called up in the internet browser on your PC, the path for which you enter under Personal Settings.

·        Plain Text Mails

In the case of plain text mails, the full text of the mail is displayed in the left-hand screen area, with the relevant Web site displayed on the right.

·        HTML Mails

For HTML text mails, the full text of the mail is displayed in plain text format in the Text preview screen area, and in HTML format in the Link preview screen area. Choose  Mail to display the mail in HTML format as it will appear to the recipient. Choose Next Link to navigate between the different links in the E-mail. The Link preview screen area then displays the relevant Web site in place of the mail. Choose  Mail to display the mail again.

In the PC UI

All text blocks are previewed in the new window. The mail form is previewed in the language used for login.
