Use

You use this application to create and maintain partner/product ranges (PPRs). You can use PPRs for product proposals or for the check in a sales transaction or application.

Prerequisites

You have made all the necessary settings in Customizing for the PPRs. The following activities further refine your customizing activities:

·        To define PPR ranks you must maintain the settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Master Data ® Partner/Product Ranges ® Ranking/Prioritization ® Define Ranks for Partner/Product Ranges.

·        To define profiles for PPR ranks you must maintain the settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Master Data ® Partner/Product Ranges ® Define Profiles for Partner/Product Range Ranks.

·        To maintain PPR types you must complete the activities in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Master Data ® Partner/Product Ranges ® Listings ® Defining Relevant PPR Types.

Specific Prerequisites for the Mobile Client

·        If you are upgrading from CRM Mobile Sales 3.0 to CRM Mobile Sales 4.0 your CDB (consolidated database) must be upgraded to ensure your listings are mapped correctly.

For more information, see SAP Help Portal (http://help.sap.com) ® Customers and Partners ® Installation & Upgrade Guides ® mySAP CRM ® SAP CRM 4.0 ® Installation and Upgrade Guides ® CDB Data Upgrade 3.0/3.1 to 4.0 Field Sales/Service.

Features

You can use the PPR functionality to:

·        Search for PPRs using various search criteria.

·        Create PPRs to include combinations of business partners, products and validity periods.

·        Assign a rank to a PPR.

·        Reference other PPRs, business partners, products and/or validity periods for other PPRs.

·        Exclude specific items/validity periods from a PPR.

·        Exclude entire PPRs at header level.

Activities

·        The status specifies whether or not a partner/product range can be used. Set the status to Active so that the PPR can be used.

·        The rank is defaulted in the PPR header if you have assigned a rank profile for the PPR type. If you wish you can manually enter or change the rank.

·        If you set the exclusion flag at header level, business partners and products for all items of this partner/product range are excluded from sales.

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

The exclusion is set at the entire sales area level.

·        Set the exclusion flag at item level, if this item should not be used. If the exclusion flag is set at item level, it is no longer possible to set an exclusion flag at header level. You can also set the exclusion flag at validity period level.

·        In order to set the exclusion flag at header level, you must first remove all exclusion flags at item level or validity period level.

·        An item combines business partners, products and validity periods. If, for example, the validity period is to be changed for only one business partner, it must be deleted from the current item, and maintained in the item you wish to create as new.

Caution

The item ID can only be changed if the PPR status is In Process. You cannot change the PPR ID afterwards.
